What new CDC message on vaccines and autism means for Arizona health

Without any scientific evidence to back it up, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has resurrected a long-debunked link between autism and vaccines: messaging that critics say is putting lives in danger.

Public health advocates say the messaging, added to the CDC website Nov. 19, is particularly dangerous in Arizona, which is already battling an outbreak of a vaccine-preventable disease.
